Welcome
to the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Department of Texas,
District 17 web site. We welcome you to search the site for
information concerning the VFW Post assigned to District 17.
On this site you will find links to VFW Posts within the
District as well as links to many of the programs your VFW
sponsors and/or promotes.
The VFW District 17 Commander, Ladies Auxiliary President,
Men's Auxiliary President, and TX Motorcycle Chairman, and
all post members welcome you to explore this site as it will
provide information for the District's current officers,
along with information concerning the 16 different VFW Post,
11 VFW Ladies Auxiliaries, 2 VFW Texas Motor Groups and 1
VFW Men's Auxiliary in Southwest Texas.
The
VFW and VFW District 17 are non-profit veterans service
organizations. VFW District 17 was chartered by the
Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States. We provide
assistance to local veterans, in the spirit of 'Veterans
Helping Veterans and Honoring the dead by helping the
living.
For members of the VFW, Ladies Auxiliary and Men's
Auxiliary, if you have questions that need to be addressed
like Procedure, policy, or just need help, first check with
your Local Post for your answers, but you can always contact
the District Commander or Presidents. The District
Officers are the direct line representatives to the
Department of Texas VFW. If your District Officers
don't have the answer or answers, they will work with the
Department to assist you and your post.
